How to Lose Weight-Teaching Children Healthy Habits

Nearly one-third of children in the United States are overweight or obese by the time they are two years old.  This shows that there is never a time that is too early to start helping children learn healthy eating habits and promoting healthy activity.  If you teach children healthy habits from the lose weight beginning, no one will have to teach them how to lose weight in the future because they will know that staying on a balanced diet, getting enough exercise, and getting enough rest are all essential to maintaining their ideal weight.

Toddlers who are learning to eat on their own need to be taught to eat at the table.  This means that the parents have to eat at the table as well—not in front of the television or computer. Both children and parents should get at least 90 minutes of physical activity at least five days per week. Eating at the table and engaging in physical activity is very important in order to encourage a healthy lifestyle at a young age.
